Jeppediinho – “Games of Life”

I just discovered Jeppediinho’s debut album Games of Life, and I’ve got to say, it really made an impression. He’s an artist based in Stockholm, and this project brings together house music, hard rock, pop, and those unmistakable 80s sounds. That mix might sound like a lot on paper, but it works naturally. Nothing about it feels overdone or out of place.

One thing that stood out to me is how global this album feels. Jeppediinho teamed up with singers from all over, the US, Sweden, England, and Australia, and even though the vocalists aren’t named, you can tell each one brought something different to the table. Some contributed to multiple tracks, some to just one, but every voice added a different layer. The songs have variety without feeling scattered.

A few tracks stuck with me more than others. “Feels So Good” has this uplifting energy that really hits if you’ve ever been through a tough time and are finally getting back on your feet. “Lost in My Mind” is another strong one, a little more intense, kind of captures the chaos that can come from overthinking, but it builds up into something powerful. And “What’s Your Mentality” brings this sense of momentum, and it’s my favorite track of the album.

What I really like is how personal this album is for Jeppediinho, but it never gets heavy-handed, and you can tell he’s been through some stuff, but the way he channels that into something energetic and melodic keeps it from dragging. It’s not trying to be dramatic, it’s more like, here’s where I’ve been, here’s what I’ve learned, and here’s how I’m moving forward.

If you’ve got time, definitely check out Games of Life, and while you’re at it, dig into some of Jeppediinho’s other tracks too, and it’ll be interesting to see where he takes things next. Make sure to follow him on social media so you can stay in the loop on new releases.
