Violet Love – “Destined to Fail”

Violet Love’s new EP “Destined to Fail” is a short but meaningful listen and you will love it. The title may sound bleak at first, but the project is less about giving up and more about being upfront with where Violet Love is in life. Violet Love has been open about how the EP comes from a year of facing hard truths and being honest, and that makes it stand out in a genuine way. “Apple” is my favorite track of the EP.

This release is only three tracks long, but it doesn’t feel slight. It has a directness that makes you stop and pay attention. The artist isn’t trying to polish things into something they’re not. Violet Love’s putting the perspective out there as it is. That kind of honesty is rare and it makes the EP easy to connect with and I’m pretty sure that “Serpent” will stick in your head.

I like that Violet Love didn’t try to overexplain or overproduce this project. It feels like a snapshot of how the talented artist sees the world right now, and that gives the music a personal edge. Listening to it feels less like being told a story and more like being let in on someone’s real thoughts.
