AZA (US) – “Time”

Hope you’re having a calm evening. I spent some time listening to AZA’s single “Time”, and it is the kind of release that sticks with you because of the personal story behind it. AZA comes from Allentown, Pennsylvania, and this track was released on April 7, 2025.

The song started after AZA purchased a beat from producer Lebanon Don Beats and began building the melody and structure from there. After writing and arranging everything, AZA went into MB Pro Studios in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to record it. The session moved quickly and wrapped up in about an hour with only a few takes, which says a lot about how clear the vision for the song already was before stepping into the studio.

“Time” is very personal. AZA reflects on life across past, present, and future moments while thinking about difficult experiences earlier in life. Those include a concussion and whiplash as well as periods of isolation during time spent in mental hospitals during AZA’s twenties. The song asks a thoughtful question about life events and whether anyone could ever get time back or change what already happened.
