V.A.T – “Press Play”
V.A.T, an artist based in Thessaloniki, Greece, recently shared his new EP Press Play and it’s a solid release that’s worth checking out. This is his fourth solo EP, and you can tell he’s taken a big step forward, not only writing and producing the music but also handling the mixing for the first time.
The tracks were put together in his personal studio, and the final touches including the vocals and mastering were done with Antonis Keramidas at X Classic Studio. There’s a nice mix of melody and rhythm across the EP, and you can hear the influence of electronic icons like Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre, and The Prodigy in the way the synths and beats come together.
Two tracks that really stood out to me were “Feel the Night” and “How Can I Forget U”. Both have this balance of emotion and energy that pulls you in and keeps you there. Eljona Sinjari’s vocals add something extra that fits the tone of the project really well.
If you’re into electronic music that doesn’t feel overproduced and keeps things interesting, give this EP a listen. And while you’re at it, check out more of V.A.T’s earlier releases and follow him on socials to stay in the loop on what he’s working on next.
