Tim Jackson – “Can’t Stop The Rain”

Tim Jackson is a UK singer and musician who just signed a global distribution deal with Right Track and Universal Music. His new single, Can’t Stop The Rain, came out on September twenty-fifth and serves as the first taste of an upcoming album named Putting In The Hours, which is set for release in early 2027. With a string of live performances lined up over the next few months, he is definitely an artist to watch. Even though his name might be new to most listeners, he has a long history in music. He learned piano using the Suzuki method starting at age three and was playing songs completely by ear by the time he reached four. He even wrote his very first pop song, entitled In The Future, when he was just five years old.

The new song brings a 1970s FM rock style filled with smooth pop rock harmonies and honest storytelling. The lyrics act as a melodic metaphor for life struggles, expressing a wish for simpler days and beach vibes rather than a tough city fight. Recording took place at Love Electric Studios in Hornsey. During the sessions, the artist wanted to test what the 1970s band Steely Dan would sound like if they tried writing a Rolling Stones song. The track also features a guitar solo played by renowned blues rock guitarist Seb Wesson, who happens to be a childhood friend.
