RudyMustCry – “Bad Mood”

RudyMustCry is an artist making music from a very personal place, and “Bad Mood” comes across like a real example of that. The single feels tied to a bigger reason for why this project exists in the first place, which made me take it more seriously when I sat with it.

The way RudyMustCry describes this project as somewhere to put the darker parts of his mind says a lot about the kind of space this song is coming from. That gives “Bad Mood” a personal edge that a lot of songs miss. It doesn’t come across like somebody trying to sound deep. It comes across like somebody using music because they genuinely need somewhere to put certain thoughts.

I also think the story behind it makes the single easier to connect with. RudyMustCry talks about getting sober and needing somewhere for that negative energy to go, and music became that outlet. Knowing that made the song land in a more human way for me. It gave the release a sense of honesty that’s hard to fake.
