Kayla Marie Pulver – “Indigo Night”

Kayla Marie Pulver is starting things off strong with her version of “Indigo Night”, a cover of the Tamino track. She worked with producer Joe Vilardi to give it a new perspective, and it’s one that makes sense. They recorded it at her vocal coach’s place in Pasadena, which already tells you this wasn’t some big studio project. It’s a personal one.

Kayla said she hadn’t heard a female version of this song before and wanted to bring her own spin to it. So they shifted the key, made it a little quicker, and added a pop edge while still keeping that emotional pull. The result is calm, atmospheric, and refreshingly different from the original. It’s not overproduced, and it doesn’t try too hard. You get the sense she really connects with the story behind the song, and that connection comes through clearly.

She’s got more original songs coming soon, so definitely take a second to check out the rest of her music and follow Kayla Marie Pulver on social media to stay in the loop.
