JesFotoArt – “You are the light”

Jörg is an Austrian baritone from the Waldviertel region who has been making music since he was a kid. He plays accordion and saxophone, trained classically, and sang in five choirs at once at some point in his life. That kind of background tends to show up in a person’s voice, and with “You are the light”, the closing track on METISSIREN’s 2026 debut, it absolutely does.

The project pairs Jörg’s warm baritone with a digital muse named Tatjana. His word for it is “hybrid Minnesang”, which he describes as a mix of sophisticated pop, cinematic textures, and real human emotion. That framing actually fits this track. At four minutes and twenty-nine seconds, it doesn’t rush. It gives the voice room to land. What I keep coming back to is how unique it sounds. There’s a specific kind of restraint here that’s hard to pull off, and Jörg pulls it off. The baritone does the heavy lifting, and the production knows to step back and let that happen.

“You are the light” is a strong ending to a strong debut. If you want to keep up with where JesFotoArt goes next, find them on social media and follow along. There’s more coming this year, and based on this, it’s worth paying attention to.
