Head Sound – “Hyperion”

It’s been a while since a track grabbed me on the first listen like “Hyperion” by Head Sound and I’m pretty sure you will love it. The guitars shimmer and sway like sunlight through tall trees, fitting, since the song nods to the world’s tallest one. There’s a warmth here that doesn’t feel polished or forced; you can tell it came from a real place. Stewbie’s vocals carry this kind of laid-back ache, the kind that doesn’t try too hard to be emotional, it just is.
You can tell these guys are friends who actually enjoy making music together. There’s this garage-made honesty to it, but it still sounds big, like it belongs on a stage under blue skies at a brewery gig. If you’re into dreamy guitar layers and songs that sit with you, don’t sleep on Head Sound.
