Awaiting Abigail – “I Hate You”

“I Hate You” by Awaiting Abigail is one of my favorite tracks of the month, it’s got this killer energy that grabs you right from the start. The moment it kicks in, those deep, heavy riffs hit hard, and it’s like the perfect mix of hard rock and metal that just pulls you in. It’s so easy to get lost in the vibe, and I’ve had it on repeat all day.

Abigail Hill’s voice is rich, she’s got this powerful, soulful thing going on that carries the song. You can feel all the frustration and attitude in her singing, especially in that chunky 6/4 halftime breakdown during the chorus, it’s so good. The whole band is on fire too. The guitars from James and Mike shred, that outro solo is insane, and Laurie and Heather keep the rhythm pounding. Kori’s keys add this cool layer that ties it all together.
