Sophia Bolinder – “My Own Company”
Sophia Bolinder is a pop/R&B artist from Malmö, Sweden, and her new single “My Own Company,” featuring John Soul, is worth your time. The song came out in March 2026 and was recorded right in Malmö, produced by Archie Norris and Jack Buster Weston of UK-based Songarchitect, and that’s a solid creative team and to be honest with you guys, it’s one of the best releases I’ve heard in the last couple of days.
The song is about picking yourself up after heartbreak and finding your own strength again, and it’s a relatable topic, but Sophia handles it in a way that doesn’t come across as generic or overdone. The artwork for the single is a nice touch too. A woman walking alone down a rain-slicked city street at night, city lights reflecting everywhere, buildings rising around her. It captures the mood of the song perfectly without being too obvious about it. Whoever put that together understood the assignment.
John Soul’s feature adds another layer to the track, giving it a bit more texture and making the emotional message land a little harder. This one is for anyone who has been through something difficult and came out the other side stronger. It’s a real, grounded listen.
