iuliano – “Time”

Iuliano is back with his single “Time”, and it’s the first taste of his upcoming album The Place. I didn’t really know what to expect going in, but it caught my attention pretty quickly.

The track keeps things simple, and that ended up being my favorite part. There’s a lot of quiet space in it, which made me slow down and actually listen instead of half-paying attention. I played it again right after it ended, mostly because I felt like I missed a few things the first time.

It comes across as really personal without trying too hard. Nothing about it feels forced. It sounds like someone taking a step back and sorting through their own thoughts, and that made it easy for me to connect with it. You can also tell he’s got a strong background in music, but he’s not showing off. It’s more about creating a mood and sticking with it. I liked that he didn’t overcomplicate things.
