Luke Panayiotou – “Am I In Love Again?”
Am I In Love Again? pulls you in with a sound that is intimate, steady, and easy to stay with. The mix of acoustic, folk, rock, and ambient singer-songwriter touches gives the EP a soft pull, but there is still enough grit in it to stop it from drifting. It finds a really nice balance between closeness and space, so the songs come across as personal without ever sounding overworked.
The voice is a big part of why this connects. Luke Panayiotou has that gravelly tone that gives the songs character right away, and the writing has a natural storytelling flow that keeps everything moving. The acoustic guitar keeps the EP rooted, while the ambient side adds atmosphere without taking over. Nothing sounds overcrowded. The songs have room to breathe, and that lets the emotion come through in a simple, direct way. My favorite one is “Back Around”.
The cover art deserves a mention too because it matches the music really well. The black and white image of the winding path, the house, and that huge swirling sky gives the EP a handmade, personal identity. The rough edges and stark contrast suit the sound, and the bright pink text adds a little spark that sticks in your mind. It looks like something made with real care, which fits the music perfectly.
My own view is that Am I In Love Again? is a strong, honest EP that is easy to come back to. Check out Luke Panayiotou’s previous releases too, give him a follow, and see where he goes next.
