Noctæra – “Visions Through Amber”

Noctæra’s second album “Visions Through Amber” is a raw and honest collection that she’s put together completely on her own, from writing to mastering. You can hear the care she’s taken with every track.

The album doesn’t stick to one sound, the title track opens with these timeless folk elements that almost feel Renaissance-inspired, then “A Little Peek” shifts into folk-pop territory with some really smart production decisions. “The Keep’s Keeper” is a soaring folk-rock anthem with violins that could work in a period film, and “Let’s Just Stay” gets into heavier alt-rock space. Then there’s “Nuits Crevees”, a beautiful French-language duet with arabesque influences that catches you off guard.

Noctæra switches between French and English, which makes the whole album feel personal, like she’s sharing her actual thoughts with you and the songs jump from loud and intense to quiet and vulnerable, but it never feels forced or messy.

Noctæra also works as a motion designer and experiments with AI and other new tools, which probably explains why her music has this creative edge to it. She balances experimentation with real emotion pretty well. If you want to hear what she does next, follow her on social media for updates in the new year.
