Yo – “Coágulo de un instante”

David G. Borrero, the artist behind Yo, just released “Coágulo de un instante” as the final single before his album Carmina Alegría comes out on November 21st. This track works well on its own, but it also gives you a good preview of where the full album is headed emotionally and sonically.

Yo made this album as a tribute to his grandmother, who passed away in June 2025. She used to tell stories about how she almost became a singer back in the day, with radio people ready to launch her career under the stage name Carmina Alegría. Life took her in another direction, but now her grandson has given her that record she never got to make.

“Coágulo de un instante” translates to something like “clot of an instant”, and you can hear how this single connects to the album as a whole. Yo has always moved between poetry and music without sticking to one lane, winning poetry awards before he started making records. That same approach is here in this release, and the single reflects the same atmosphere you’ll find across all eight tracks when the album arrives.

If you haven’t checked out his previous work like Vala or De lirios y delirios, I’d recommend giving those a listen while you wait for November 21st. Follow Yo on social media to stay updated on the release and future projects.
