RightHandWave – “Rebound Girl”

RightHandWave’s new single “Rebound Girl” is a cool one to dive into, the band is based in Nashville, and you can definitely hear the polish that comes from that kind of music town. The song pulls some of its inspiration from the movie “Lars and the Real Girl”, which is not something you’d expect, but honestly, it works. It’s got this quirky, emotional undercurrent running beneath a super catchy surface, and that contrast makes it easy to keep hitting replay.

One thing that stood out to me was the harmonies, they didn’t just toss them in, you can tell the band spent a lot of time getting them just right, it pays off. The whole thing was co-produced with Ken Daniels at Daniels Nashville Studio, which probably helped the sound land as tight as it does. This track just feels like they’re having fun with the sound they love.

“Rebound Girl” was released on August 26, and it’s a solid move forward for RightHandWave. If they keep going like this, they’re worth keeping tabs on. Follow them on social media to stay updated on new releases in 2025.
