Matt C. White – “A Cosmic Year”

Matt C. White’s latest album, “A Cosmic Year”, is straight-up wild, in the best way. From the moment it landed on my radar, I was excited to share it with you. From “The Descent” to “Fire Rider II: Rebirth”, you will be transported into the world of the talented artist. You can tell this thing came from someone who’s been at it a long time.
The best part of the release is that Matt plays every single instrument on it, and you really get the sense he knew exactly what he wanted to make, something raw, trippy, and full of weird turns that totally work. “Smoke Still Casts a Shadow” ended up being my favorite track, it’s rich and unique, and with the beautiful vocals, it can easily stick in your head.
Matt’s been in a bunch of killer bands like Grandpa Jack, 95 Bulls, and Certain Death, and if you’ve followed his stuff before, this one might be his most dialed-in yet. It took him two years, and it shows. Check him out on Instagram or Spotify to keep up with whatever he’s got coming next in 2025.
