The Wild Violets – “Sweet Redemptio”

Hope you’re having a relaxing Sunday evening! The Wild Violets are a London-based disco group making waves with their mix of funk, soul, and modern dance energy. Their new single is my favorite of the week, “Sweet Redemption”, came out on October 3rd on The Disco Express Records, and it’s the kind of track that grabs your attention right away. The band pulls from vintage disco but keeps it fresh, so it feels both familiar and new.

“Sweet Redemption” is about renewal and strength, something that’s easy to connect with. The groove is upbeat and the whole track has a celebratory feel. The hooks and melodies stick with you, and it’s not hard to picture this one working perfectly in a packed club or at one of their shows.

The Wild Violets do a great job of connecting disco’s roots with today’s dance scene, and this release feels like another strong move forward for them. And to be honest with you guys, this band is one of the best bands we featured on the blog from a long time ago.
