The New Solarism – “The Kiss”

The New Solarism’s “The Kiss” is wonderful and built around just violin, loops, and a few subtle effects, the album strips things back without ever feeling empty.
Izabela Kałduńska, the mind behind the project, makes it look easy, but it’s clear how much thought and feeling went into these tracks. You can tell this came from someone who really sat with their emotions and let them grow into sound. Tracks like “The End,” originally the main theme from the unperformed theatre piece, feel weighted with reflection. And “Peace” hits differently now, it plays more like a quiet plea than a resolution, shaped by everything we’ve all been through in recent years.
There’s no fluff here, every track feels intentional, more like a diary entry than a performance. And somehow, even with all that introspection, “The Kiss” is one of those albums that needs your full attention.
