Solamente – “Storm Corrosion”

Solamente is back with a new single, “Storm Corrosion”, ahead of the upcoming full-length album Requiem: Grief in Five Stages, and it definitely makes an impression. The track gives a strong preview of the emotional and sonic depth the new record seems to be aiming for. It lands somewhere between groove-heavy rock and doom-influenced drama, drawing from the kind of darker tones you’d expect from bands like Type O Negative, but it still feels personal and grounded.
The album is structured around the five stages of grief, and “Storm Corrosion” holds its own while giving a glimpse into the larger story being told. It feels intentional and complete, without needing context, but it also adds to the experience when heard as part of the full project.
Production-wise, it’s sharp, Grammy-winning producer Machine handled the mix and master, and you can tell. It sounds focused without being over-polished.
If “Storm Corrosion” is any indication of what’s coming on October 31, Requiem could be Solamente’s strongest release yet. Definitely worth paying attention to. Follow Solamente on social media to stay in the loop for more new music coming in the rest of 2025.
