Pool Club – “Changing Tides”

Pool Club, a five-piece band from Kent, is back with a new single titled “Changing Tides”. The band originally started in Brighton where Eliot and Kieron were gigging and writing during uni. After moving back to the southeast, they brought in Seb, Will, and Jon to complete the lineup.

This single keeps building on the power pop energy they’ve been putting out since their debut. It’s catchy without trying too hard, and you can hear bits of influence from bands like Supergrass and Fountains of Wayne, but it still sounds like something they’ve made their own. The balance between tight hooks and a loose, fun energy works really well here. Knowing they record and release everything themselves makes it even more impressive. The song has a polished feel without losing any of the charm or personality. It sounds like something that would go down great live, which makes sense considering how active they’ve been on the gig circuit and their recent set at The Great Escape Festival.

If you’re into indie pop with good hooks and a bit of character, give “Changing Tides” a listen. Be sure to follow Pool Club on social media to keep up with more new music coming later in 2025.
