Poems – “Placebo”

Hey guys! I enjoyed Poems’s latest song, “Placebo”, the song perfectly captures the struggles of being an adult and how we sometimes need a little chemical help to get through the day. To be honest, it’s one of the best and most unique writing styles I heard this week so far.
You’ll instantly feel the unique anxious melodies in the lyrics of Poems. The San Diego recording sessions really paid off – the production quality is top-notch thanks to John Catlin’s mixing skills, you may have heard his work with Inhaler. Billy Foster, the genius behind Wet Leg and Fontaines D.C, brings his magic touch to the production, and John Greenham, who also works with Billie Eilish, adds a professional touch that doesn’t lose the emotion. This track is just a piece of art.
The song digs deep into feelings we all share but rarely talk about, the daily grind, the pressure, and the need for something to take the edge off. For me, “Placebo” is some of the most real and touching music being made today that deserves a spot in your Spotify playlist, so make sure to follow Poems on all their social media accounts and share this with your loved ones.
