One Man Boycott – “Face For Radio”

One Man Boycott is back with Face For Radio, and it really sounds like someone finding their way again after hitting pause. Joe Brewer took some time out, came back to it on his own terms, and you can hear that in the music. These twelve tracks feel personal without trying too hard to be deep, and the mix of energy and honesty is solid.

“Nevergenetics” and “Self Help Pt.2” hit fast, loud, and catchy, the kind of songs you want to blast in the car, and then you get something like “The Alchemist” or the closer “Optimist Prime,” and it shifts into a different space. Those tracks slow things down just enough to let things sink in. The whole record moves naturally between those highs and lows without losing focus. It’s impressive that this was self-produced and still sounds so polished. Nothing about it feels forced. Brewer clearly knows what he wants this project to be now, and he’s not trying to fit into anything that doesn’t make sense for him.

If you’ve ever been into pop punk or emo rock, this is worth your time. Follow One Man Boycott on social media to stay in the loop with what’s coming next in 2025.
