nfm – “the lost art of letting go”

nfm’s new EP “the lost art of letting go” is something special. This Dubai-based artist has put together a project that’s super personal and packed with feeling, this is why you will find yourself listening from the first second to the last one on the EP. It was released on February 28, 2025, and honestly, I’m already impressed. It’s like all years of nfm’s creative vibes all wrapped up in four amazing tracks, I can’t get enough of it.

The sound is this cool mix of stuff that doesn’t stick to one style and each song digs into something real, like “vitals” is all about life’s basics, breathing and heartbeats, while “signals” hits you with memories that pop up out of nowhere, and my favorite track is “daydreams”. The way it was made? So impressive. nfm recorded it in his apartment in Dubai, turning it into a little studio. He even did vocals under a blanket to get the sound right, that’s next-level dedication. nfm proves that you don’t need a fancy studio to make music that people enjoy.

This is pretty much all nfm, he wrote, played, recorded, and produced it, with just a bit of help on mixing and mastering. You can hear his heart in every second.
