MAHUNA – “Far Off Summer’s Night”

MAHUNA is a Berlin-based Irish songwriter, and his new single “Far Off Summer’s Night” is impressive and deserves your full attention. It’s part of his debut album “Forever Is Mine”, and even though the whole record has gotten strong feedback, this one feels like a real standout.
The track is centered around a memory of walking with his late father, and you can tell it’s personal. It’s not overdone or theatrical. Actually, it’s the opposite, the way it’s recorded live gives it this closeness, like you’re hearing someone work something out in real time. There’s no gloss, no distraction, it’s slow, almost like it’s catching its breath while trying to hang on to something fading.
Mahuna mentioned the song came from a dream, and that makes sense. It moves like a thought that’s half-there, the kind you carry around all day without really realizing it. It’s one of the best songs I’ve head this week so far.
There’s a lot of emotion packed into this one, but it comes through in a way that feels honest and unforced. Definitely worth a listen. Follow MAHUNA on socials to stay updated on more music coming later in 2025.
