Luna Rosa – “Lift Me Up”

Luna Rosa has a way of shifting gears when you least expect it. Their single “Lift Me Up” takes the intensity they are known for and channels it into something wide open and full of energy.

The story behind it is pretty cool. Frontman Rory McDade wrote it after a rough, sleepless night. Watching the sunrise, his young niece asked to be lifted up so she could see the sun. That simple moment completely changed his perspective. You can feel that shift from darkness to light. The track feels immediate and instinctual, balancing heavy emotion with a massive sense of joy. McDade sings about cosmic love and connection, giving the whole thing a huge scale.

They worked with producer Gavin Monaghan at Magic Garden Studio, and you can hear a bit of that atmospheric, restrained vibe reminiscent of David Bowie or Echo & The Bunnymen. It is already a staple in their live sets, and it makes total sense that they are taking it to summer festivals alongside bands like The Charlatans and The Bluetones. This is exactly the kind of anthem that is going to sound incredible in a crowded field under the sun.

It is a fantastic step forward for them. Make sure to head over to their Instagram and Facebook pages to follow them so you do not miss any of their new releases or tour updates this year.
