LED – “Your Perfect”

LED’s “Your Perfect” takes the mess of high school crushes, rejection, and self doubt and turns it into something direct and easy to connect with. The idea of trying to live up to someone else’s image of perfection is painfully familiar, and LED gives that feeling a sharp, personal edge without overplaying it.

The bittersweet side of the track is a big part of why it works. You get the frustration, but you also get a band that sounds excited to say exactly what is on its mind. That mix gives the song a lot of charm. It has a youthful point of view, but it does not come off immature. It sounds like three people locking into the same emotion and pushing it forward together.

Edie Yvonne and Layne Olivia seem to bring different instincts into the writing, and that contrast gives the song extra life and their vocal blend adds a lot, and Lockett Pentz helps hold everything together with a steady punch that keeps the track moving. For a band heading toward a debut EP, this is a strong step because it already gives a clear picture of who LED is.

“Your Perfect” is very easy to root for. It sounds sincere, catchy, and full of personality. Go spend some time with LED’s previous releases too, and make sure to follow the band. Are you already a fan of LED, or is this your first time hearing them?
