Colourshop – “Sailing Boat”

Colourshop is back with a new single called “Sailing Boat” and it’s a really thoughtful track that caught my attention for how simple and honest it is. Based in London, Colourshop recorded this one in Barcelona at RoomTo studio, working with producers Jason Boshoff and Oscar Bragado, along with Bryan Curtis on drums. The setup was intentionally minimal and it comes through in the sound, keeping things quiet, steady, and personal.

This release steps away from some of Colourshop’s earlier, more layered work and returns to a more stripped-back acoustic style. The bossa nova rhythm adds a smooth, laid-back energy that supports the track’s mood and it’s the kind of song that feels easy to connect with, especially when you’re in a reflective headspace. The meaning behind it is also pretty relatable. It’s about realizing that life doesn’t always go how we plan, and sometimes the best move is to stop resisting and go with it, it’s a good track that deserves your full attention. That message comes across clearly, without feeling forced, and the production leaves space for it to land naturally.

“Sailing Boat” is worth a listen, be sure to follow Colourshop on social media to stay in the loop for more releases coming later in 2025.
