Clinton Belcher – “Stay With Me”

Clinton Belcher’s new single “Stay With Me” came out in late October, and it’s honestly one of the strongest independent releases I’ve heard in a while, and he handled everything himself, from writing and recording to producing, and you can tell he was really intentional with every part of it. The song starts off simple, with just vocals and acoustic guitar, and keeps building until it reaches this huge final chorus that really hits.

I just love how he blends the big, dramatic energy of classic power ballads with the grit of Country Rock. You get the strings, the electric guitar, even a final key change, but it never loses that grounded feeling. The pedal steel is there if you listen for it, and his voice ties it all together. It’s raw and a little raspy, which fits the emotional side of the song without making it feel polished or forced. There’s a moment near the end where the sound cuts out before the last few lines, and that silence makes the ending even stronger. It’s clear he put a lot of thought into how this song should move.

If you’re into country rock that goes big without losing its heart, give this one a listen. Follow Clinton Belcher on social media to stay in the loop on what’s coming next in 2025.
