Blue Sinclair – “When the Disco Ball Crashed Down”

Blue Sinclair is a New York City based singer, songwriter, and producer who released his debut album When the Disco Ball Crashed Down in September 2025. The project centers on being in your twenties in New York and trying to figure out who you are while letting go of who you used to be. That idea runs deep across all eight tracks, touching on almost-connections, temptation, desire, vanity, nostalgia, capitalism, and the constant back-and-forth in your own head when nothing feels fully decided.

The album moves across alternative pop and electronic pop, but it never boxes itself in. You hear deep house, jazz-tinged electronic R&B, trip hop, and shoegaze blended together in a way that reflects the uncertainty at the heart of the record. Since it’s self written and self produced, there’s a clear point of view holding everything together, even as the sounds shift from track to track. Tracks like “Midnight, Briefly”, “Glitter Isn’t Gold”, “Sanity v. Vanity”,  and the title track “When the Disco Ball Crashed Down” deserve your full attention.

This is a debut that feels honest about confusion, ego, and growth without trying to tidy it all up. Follow Blue Sinclair on social media to keep up with what he releases next this year.
