Asta Bria – “Virus”

Asta Bria knows how to get people moving. Her track Dragonfly reached number 4 on the UK dance charts last summer, and now she is stepping into 2026 with a release called Virus. This edition is a Kola remix, taking her original song somewhere completely unexpected.

Most people associate a virus with something bad—a winter illness or a broken laptop. Asta Bria wanted to flip that idea entirely, turning the word into a positive message about spreading love across the globe. She actually wrote the song over 20 years ago, but it sat archived until she signed a global distribution deal with Right Track and Universal Music in 2024 and started sifting through her old material.

Co-produced with Pete Brazier, this Kola version pairs a heavy bassline with trance loops that land right away. Asta Bria’s vocals cut through the mix with a clear message to pass that good energy around. It marks the first entry in a three-part series she has lined up for this year, proving her songwriting was already way ahead of the curve back in the early noughties.
