Hey folks, Hayden here, and I really LOVE this track by the Nicole Saphos Band, “Home For The Holidays”. It’s got that perfect alt/indie vibe with a surf rock twist, and I’m all about it. Whether or not you’ve actually experienced it, the song takes you right back to that nostalgic early 2000s West Coast feeling. It’s as if Dr. Dog and The Ramones had a holiday party and invited a little pop-punk energy to the mix. That bittersweet feeling of going back to your childhood home for the holidays hits hard with the lyrics, and the instrumental arrangement is super fun, with hints of Dick Dale, Ventures, and even a little Zappa.
