Cayhan – “World is Mine”

Manchester musician Cayhan has a completely independent approach to creating music, handling his own production, songwriting, and tracking. His track “World is Mine” came out on June 5, 2026, giving a clear taste of his upcoming album “Shadows After Dark”, and this project sits squarely in a dark, gothic emo rap style. He put the track together by freestyling it in his parents’ house, wrapping up the whole recording in roughly an hour over just a few quick takes. A professional engineer handled the final mixing, but the track remains entirely guided by his personal creative choices. It’s one of the best releases I’ve heard this week so far.

The visual look of the single fits this dark mood perfectly. When you look at the artwork, you see intense blocks of purple, yellow, red, and blue paint that look like bars or windows over a heavy black backdrop. The song title text is stamped directly across those bright lines. It has a rough, handmade quality that makes ou love the song before you press play.

I absolutely love this release because it is completely genuine and has so much real heart. It is a fantastic first introduction to his style, and you should definitely check out his previous releases to see how his independent music has grown over time.

Please follow Cayhan to stay updated about new releases in the rest of this year. He is a truly talented independent artist who stays dedicated to his own creative path, living by his own rule of moving forward without ever worrying about outside criticism. Now that he is looking to take these bedroom recordings onto actual live stages as soon as possible, following his journey closely right now is the absolute best way to see how his unique music expands as the full album comes together over the next few months.
