Seven Nation Army – “Power and Money”

Seven Nation Army has a new EP out titled Power and Money, coming out of Cracow, Poland. They mix alternative rock energy with electronic textures and a cinematic atmosphere.

It is an interesting release because it takes one song and gives you three distinct versions rather than just alternate mixes and they deserve your full attention. Every track highlights a different emotional dimension. The first version, Electro Time, has a lot of modern energy and futuristic textures. The version titled 80s Synths builds a retro-futuristic atmosphere that brings a dark mood and cinematic depth. Then you get Raw Guitars, which relies on powerful guitars to focus on intensity and emotion.

The whole listening experience is immersive and confrontational, giving a reflection of the times we live in. It reminds me of the dark electronic atmosphere of Depeche Mode, the industrial intensity of Nine Inch Nails, and the modern rock energy of Muse. It also shares that genre-crossing energy you hear from Linkin Park or Bring Me The Horizon when they combine rock with modern electronic production. It shows real artistic evolution.

You can find the EP on Spotify right now. Head over to Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube to follow Seven Nation Army so you can stay updated on new releases this year.
