Pizza Daddy – “The Right Life Choices”

Pizza Daddy are a London-based dream pop duo made up of Ross Pearce and Mike Stothard. The two have been making music together for a while now, previously putting in five years with another dream pop act called BOYS before starting this project in 2020. So they’re not newcomers figuring things out. They know what they’re doing, and this is why I adore their latest release, and I’m pretty sure you will as well.

Their new single, “The Right Life Choices”, is out now on all streaming platforms. The track sits squarely in the atmospheric, hazy world they’ve been building since they started the project. It’s the kind of song that asks a question most people have asked themselves at some point – Have I actually made the right choices to get here? That’s not a new idea, but Pizza Daddy make it feel personal rather than generic.

The artwork is worth a mention too. It’s a shot of Roy’s Motel and Cafe out in the California desert, all dusty roads and old signage under a wide open sky. It suits the mood of the song perfectly. You look at it and already feel the quiet loneliness the music is going for.
