Aytad – “Lucid Prologue”

Aytad’s new album “Lucid Prologue” is a personal project that came out of a tough year. He grew up in a household filled with Indian classical music, and you can hear influences from Earl Sweatshrift to Hiatus Kaiyote and artists like Magi Merlin and Jordan Ward in his work.

This past year had Aytad second-guessing himself and where he fit in the music world. He was dealing with how his career was affecting his relationships and the people around him. He stepped away from making music just to make it and got into content creation for a while. The album became his way of working through all that doubt and proving to himself that sticking with the process matters more than anything. I was excited to share it wit you from the moment it landed on my radar.

“silence” and “alone” are standout tracks where you hear him mixing classical sounds with bigger, more powerful moments while still keeping the stories raw and real. He recorded everything at home in Norman, Oklahoma, where he’s going to college. His setup is basic but it works for him.

Aytad admits he’s a perfectionist, and that held him back from releasing music for months at a time. This album is him trying to break that habit and just put work out there. If his style clicks with you, follow him on social media to keep up with new music coming in 2026.
