Echomatica – “Technicolour Dreams”

Echomatica from Auckland released “Technicolour Dreams” on December 4th, and I can see why fans loves it. They’ve already had multiple singles hit the top spots on New Zealand charts, and this new one keeps that going.

The track is big and layered, with shimmering guitars paired against pulsing beats and those dreamy choruses that grow into these cinematic moments. They’ve always had that atmospheric vibe, but here they sound more confident and celebratory, and that longing and wonder is still there in their sound, but now it comes with more boldness. If you’re into bands like The Naked and Famous, M83, Beach House, or Cigarettes After Sex, you’ll probably dig this. They mix dream pop, alt-rock, trip-hop, and shoegaze together in a way that really pulls you in.

“Month of Sundays” hit number one on the Official NZ Alt Chart recently, so they’re clearly doing well right now. Their earlier singles “Love Isn’t Always” and “Something” are worth checking out too if you haven’t heard them yet. Follow Echomatica on social media to keep up with their new releases and see where they go next.
