cydan – “falling 4 u”

Good Sunday morning! I’ve been listening to “falling 4 u”, the new single from Toronto artist cydan, and it really caught my attention in a good way. It came out on September 26, and what stood out to me was how personal the story feels. cydan wrote it based on memories of a girl he grew up with, and that gives the song a deeper meaning than your usual love track.
It’s just him being real. It’s about realizing someone’s mattered to you for a long time, even when things don’t work out perfectly. There’s honesty in that, and a kind of quiet hope that’s easy to connect with. He mentioned being influenced by Zack Tabudlo, which makes sense, but he keeps things more low-key and personal.
I also like that he recorded it in his room and didn’t try to make it into some big production. He had something he wanted to say and he said it. That kind of directness feels rare and refreshing.
If you haven’t heard more from cydan yet, I’d definitely recommend checking out his other releases. And make sure to follow him on social media so you can stay updated on whatever he’s working on next.
