The Numb Project – “Dream”

The Numb Project returns with a new single, “Dream”, following the 2025 LP “A Space Between” and the recent track “Nok Nok”. It’s another strong step from the Portland, Oregon producer who continues to shape his own approach to downtempo music.

Influences like Four Tet, Tycho, and Boards of Canada are part of his background, and you can hear that inspiration in the way “Dream” combines trip-hop, boom-bap, and IDM ideas. It is structured in a way that is subtle but intentional and it invites you to slow down while listening. The song moves with patience, giving each layer enough space without ever feeling cluttered. It is the kind of track you can put on repeat and still find details that catch your ear.

The B-side, “Limited Minutes Remain”, connects to ideas of time and love for someone close, which adds a personal angle to the release. The two songs side by side make the project about more than atmosphere because they point toward the importance of holding onto moments.
