The Sun Harmonic – “Glory Days”

“Glory Days” is the second one leading into their upcoming seventh album and I really can’t wait to hear it. The Canadian trio, Kaleb Hikele, Dave Skrtich, and Ian McLennan, keep it simple with guitar, bass, and drums, and that straight-ahead setup works perfectly here.
The song came from a pretty ordinary place, written in a furniture delivery van, which makes it even more relatable. At its core, it’s about questioning if the best times are already behind you or if they’re still happening right now. Recorded during the pandemic, that question hits harder, and it’s the kind of thought almost anyone can connect with.
The band recorded “Glory Days” live-off-the-floor, and you can tell. The track has the grit and energy of a group playing together in the same room, drawing on punk and hard rock roots without sanding off the edges. It’s the kind of recording that makes you picture being at a small venue, where the sound is loud and unfiltered.
With this single following “Homesick”, The Sun Harmonic is setting up a strong year ahead. Keep an eye on their socials to stay updated as the album release gets closer in 2025.
