The Burbs – “There’s No Time For Presents”

When you listen to their previous releases, you can say that The Burbs have done it again. This Bells Beach trio knows how to make you feel something and their latest track ‘There’s No Time For Presents’ is proof they’re not messing around anymore.

From the moment you hit the play button, Brook Mckeon’s voice draws you into this dark, emotional space that is both intimate and unsettling. The acoustic setup is perfect here; those muted guitars create a brooding atmosphere that never lets up. It’s the little details that get me though. It’s really one of the best tracks that landed on my radar in the last couple of weeks.

With tracks like ‘Ladder To The Moon‘ and ‘Skin and Bones‘ under their belt (don’t just take my words, listen to them), The Burbs are showing they can keep churning out these intense, memorable songs.
