Wattmore – “Canadian Whiskey”

Wattmore released “Canadian Whiskey”, a track that fits their reputation for never playing it safe. The two brothers behind the name aren’t the polished, PR-trained kind of act. They sound more like the guys who’d argue about guitar tone over cheap beer, then somehow end up making something great out of it.

The song is, technically, a country drinking tune, but that description doesn’t really cover what’s going on here. It’s tongue-in-cheek, a little rebellious, and full of that dry humor Wattmore are known for. They wrote it with Allan Caswell, who’s got a knack for stirring things up, and you can tell that partnership added some extra spark. Producer Lindsay Waddington deserves credit too. Somehow he took all that noise and sarcasm and turned it into something that actually works on radio. The session players are top-shelf, keeping things tight while the brothers absolutely hammer their guitars.

“Canadian Whiskey” comes off as a mix of fun, attitude, and a bit of chaos. The good kind. It doesn’t feel overthought or polished to death. It sounds like Wattmore being themselves, which is exactly why it works. Keep an eye on their socials to see what else they’re putting out through the rest of 2025, they’re clearly not done causing trouble.
