Vitto – “Vitto”

Chilean artist Vitto just put out his self-titled debut EP, and the rawness is immediate. He’s working with Country, Folk, and Blues but recording from Chile, which gives these traditionally American genres a totally different angle.

All five tracks were recorded in one-shot takes with no editing or redoing anything. The EP has a live, unfiltered quality because of it. Vitto played and recorded every instrument on his own, and you can hear the vulnerability in each song. Half the record is in English and half in Spanish, and the language switching changes how the stories hit you. And my favorite track is “Fade Away”.

The record is about love and loss, and how grief can turn into art. Vitto leaves the rough edges in on purpose – he wants you to hear the humanity and imperfections that real emotion brings. It’s honest in a way most overly polished records aren’t.

He worked with the León brothers at Estudio Bilbao on production, and the result is a debut that sounds assured without trying too hard. If you want authentic Latin American folk that stands apart from the crowd, this is it. Follow Vitto on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok to stay in the loop with his releases for the rest of 2025.
