Venice Bleach – “First Born”

Venice Bleach’s “First Born” is a track that can easily stick in your head, it’s one of the best releases I listened to this week.
What’s cool is how “First Born” mixes chaos and structure in a way that doesn’t feel forced. It’s built out of field recordings, old tape loops, and ’90s synths, so there’s this gritty, nostalgic layer running through the whole thing. There’s a strong melodic side underneath all that distortion, which keeps it grounded and listenable. The balance of destruction and optimism somehow works without leaning too hard in either direction.
It’s also part of a series leading up to Venice Bleach’s debut EP, which makes sense because this definitely feels like it’s part of a bigger picture. The fact that it comes from his AV performances makes it even more intriguing. You can tell it wasn’t just made in a studio, it came from something lived.
If you’re into music that pushes boundaries without being pretentious, check this one out and follow the talented artist on social media to stay in the loop for his upcoming releases and shows later this year.
