The Trusted – “Iridescence”

I just finished listening to The Trusted’s new EP, “Iridescence”, and it impressed me. Right from the first song, I was hooked. The melodies are catchy, and the lyrics feel real and genuine. This band from Southend-on-Sea knows how to mix energy with emotion, and this EP shows it.

The first track, “The Lightning”, grabs you right away with its incredible chorus, it brings back classic sounds while still feeling fresh and modern. I loved how it set the tone for the rest of the EP, and my favorite song is “Self Destruct”, this song took me by surprise in a good way, It’s got that punk and new wave feel that lifts your mood instantly, it’s perfect when you need a little boost. On the other hand, “Miracle Face” slows things down, it shows a more thoughtful side of the band. The falsetto singing and rich harmonies create a lovely sound that tells a simple but powerful story about longing and hope.

For me, “Iridescence” perfectly shows off The Trusted’s versatility and knack for songwriting. It’s an enjoyable and honest musical ride that I highly recommend, and if you want some uplifting tunes, definitely check out this EP and follow the band on social media!
