The Radio Addicts – “Before My Eyes”
The Radio Addicts are a teenage indie rock band from Bolton, and their new single “Before My Eyes” is a proper anthem that sounds way more mature than you’d expect from such a young group. And to be honest, it’s my favorite track of the week.
The song is about how ridiculously fast time moves and how easy it is to miss the important stuff while you’re busy living. Luke Cardwell writes about growing up, dealing with his parents’ divorce, watching other people seem to have it better, and just trying to hold onto the good moments. It’s honest without being too much. The guitars are impressive, the vocals go where they need to go, and there’s energy here that makes sense of why their audiences keep showing up. Andy Dawson produced it at DOA Studios and got the live sound down. You can pick out bits of The Killers and Catfish and the Bottlemen in there, but the band has their own thing going.
They sold out their debut vinyl EP “MMXXV” four months before it even came out, so people are clearly paying attention. Their EP launch party at Wax and Beans in Bury sold out just as fast. They’ve already got festival bookings lined up for 2026 and a headline show at The Eagle Inn in Manchester next March. Check them out on Instagram or Spotify to see where they’re playing next.
