Televised Mind – “Mind Over Matter”

Televised Mind, an indie rock project out of Lincoln, released their new single “Mind Over Matter”. Written by Ste Walker in the unique setting of his motorboat home on Whitby harbour, the track already comes with a sense of character before you even hit play.

What adds an extra edge here is the production work from Nick Brine, who is known for shaping records with the likes of Oasis and Stone Roses. That experience shows in how bold the song feels. Recorded at Salvation Studios in Brighton, the same space where Wet Leg has worked, the sessions included some playful techniques like “head in a fishtank” and loudspeaker vocal effects, pushing the track into more adventurous territory. Those choices give “Mind Over Matter” a confident punch and make it stand out in a crowded scene. I love the powerful and rich vocals, so I was excited to share this one with you.
