Solum – “Hold On”

Sometimes you stumble across a song that feels like it was written just for you. That’s exactly what happened when I first heard Solum’s latest single “Hold On”, it’s really one of the best tracks I’ve heard this week so far.

This London-based artist has created something really special here. It’s a well written song and it blends lo-fi textures with Jersey Club energy in a way that shouldn’t work but absolutely does. Solum’s vocals float over the production like they’re having a conversation with your soul, raw and honest without trying too hard to impress anyone.

The whole thing was apparently written in under two hours after Solum heard one sample, and you can feel that spontaneous energy throughout. There’s no pretense here, just pure emotion channeled into three and a half minutes of beautiful music, so it’s safe to say that the talent you don’t gain it, you born with it.

Keep your eyes on Solum’s socials because if this is what they’re putting out now, whatever comes next is going to be incredible. Trust me on this one.
