Noah James Mass crafts a gritty, genuine alternative rock energy on his self-titled album that feels raw from start to finish. Recorded with live drums and custom BilT guitars, the production skips slick, over-processed tricks for real room warmth and dirty analog textures and every track carries an organic pulse that draws you straight into the music.

“I Am the One” opens the effort with pure swagger. Built around a driving rhythm, the guitars pack a sharp bite while the vocals push forward with total confidence. The raw room tone gives the instruments a heavy, breathing presence that hits right in the chest. Shortly after, “On the Way Down” shifts the mood into something deeper and more atmospheric. It’s safe to say that it’s my favorite album of the week.

The album moves smoothly into “Misery Winter”, carrying that same commitment to full creative control and high-impact arrangements and then comes “Thinking of You”, a piece that slows things down just enough to highlight the rich, melodic guitar tone without losing any of its core grit.

“Better Love Me” stands out as a personal favorite, and I’m pretty sure you will love it as much as I did. Another instant favorite, “Rich Girl” will stick in your head with its sharp hooks and heavy instrumentation. “Out the Door” is closing things out on a powerful note that reflects the album’s dynamic balance between isolated focus and driving movement.

Noah handles writing, performance, and production duties himself, and that hands-on approach keeps the entire project feeling cohesive and deeply personal. It is rare to hear a debut that feels this clear in its artistic vision.
