Medalye – “No Love Lost”

I really like Medalye’s new album, “No Love Lost“. It’s a perfect blend of indie rock and electronica, with a touch of airy indie pop that makes it feel fresh and dynamic. The collaboration with the band passmurny and the soulful voice of ÉMAREE adds depth to this release, and Max Medalye’s songwriting shines throughout the album. Tracks like “Ripples” and “Summer” are personal and evocative, reflecting the challenging times during the pandemic and his journey through London and Moscow. The standout track for me is Labyrinth Dream, where ÉMAREE’s vocals mesh beautifully with fuzz-heavy guitars, creating a powerful sonic experience. Overall, “No Love Lost” feels like a well-crafted concept album that showcases Medalye’s musical versatility and passion.
